What to Trade

We want to trade the most actively traded stocks since these have good liquidity and exhibit “more reasonable behavior”. These would be the Large Cap and Mega Cap stocks and large ETF’s based on them.

We will trade stocks, ETF’s and options from the S&P500.

(note that the S&P500 includes all 30 DJI stocks.)

Watchlists of stocks and ETF’s are grouped by Sector as indicated below. The Sector Indexes given below show the performance of all stocks in the Sector. We can then drill down to the individual stocks in the Watchlist for that Sector.

S&P500 Sectors:

There are 11 stock market sectors, according to the Global Industry Classification Standard, or GICS, which is an industry taxonomy developed in 1999 by MSCI and Standard & Poor’s. Within the entire GICS structure, there are 11 sectors, 24 industry groups, 69 industries and 158 sub-industries into which all major public companies are categorized.
